Học Tiếng is a local-first language-learning application designed to help Vietnamese and English learners understand how their target language actually works rather than simply memorize translations.
The application supports both English → Vietnamese and Vietnamese → English learning paths. Structured lessons connect pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, sentence construction, and cultural context with interactive exercises that reinforce concepts through active use.
Learners can practice across thirteen exercise formats, including listening and dictation, sentence ordering, tone recognition, grammar correction, reading comprehension, pronunciation, translation, and free response. Vietnamese learners can also select Northern, Central, Southern, or instructional pronunciation preferences.
Học Tiếng uses browser speech capabilities for text-to-speech, microphone recording, and supported-browser transcription, enabling pronunciation and listening practice without requiring an external AI service. A guided conversation system provides scenario-based practice and allows corrections to be saved to a personal conversation notebook.
Progress is tracked at the concept level rather than solely through lesson completion. Weaker concepts are scheduled for spaced review, while saved vocabulary, corrections, preferences, and mastery data persist locally on the device.
The application is intentionally local-first. Its core learning experience works without an account, database server, or external AI provider, with a production service worker providing offline application-shell caching.
